Robert Rosen is the only individual outside John Lennon's family and closest inner circle who has been granted access to John's handwritten diaries, spanning primarily from 1975 until his untimely and tragic death in 1980.

As Robert read through John’s entries, he found a man pouring out his soul on every page. Rosen’s insights from the journals formed the core of his book Nowhere Man: The Final Days of John Lennon. Recently, I revisited a comprehensive interview I conducted with Mr. Rosen about a year and a half ago. From that conversation, I’ve selected some of the most fascinating revelations he uncovered in Lennon’s journals.
